Guess who’s more creative – men or women?
If you answered either of them, you’re wrong. In fact, many people think men have more innovative solutions than women. But it’s a little bit more complicated than that.
Both are equally creative – they just have different roles in terms of their creative output.
In this episode, I’m going to share with your two independent studies that talk about this complex issue of gender role in creativity.
I’m also going to describe for you a very real gender bias that occurs in the world of creativity and in other places we know of.
In this episode you’ll hear:
- Research study on “Role Expectations as Constraints to Innovation”
- Second research study on the uniqueness of the inventor’s name and perception of the innovation
- How to achieve the sweet spot of innovation in terms of gender roles
- The implications of gender role differences and gender bias in creativity
