It’s time to put innovation into practice.

LG Mobile Phones, the fastest growing mobile phone brand in North America, is partnering with crowdSPRING, an online marketplace for creative services, to announce a new competition to define the future of personal mobile communication. U.S. residents age 18 and over can have a chance to design their vision of the next revolutionary LG mobile phone and compete for more than $80,000 in awards. See https://www.crowdspring.com/LG for details on how to submit your ideas.

Here is how submissions will be judged:

  • Need Fulfillment / Market Potential (40% weight): How well does the phone address general consumer needs / frustrations?
  • Creativity / Originality / Innovation (30% weight): Is the idea / design unique? Does the concept convey WOW or game-changing characteristics?
  • Feasibility (20% weight): Can this idea / product be realistically implemented with current or near-future technology?
  • Polish and Appeal (10% weight): Is the idea easy to understand and aesthetically appealing? Does it have images illustrating usage scenarios?

So how do you create the future of mobile communications? You innovate using a systematic method. Here is my suggested approach. You can also listen to my podcast that leads you through it step-by-step. If you have never used or tried a systematic method of ideating, this is an excellent time to do so. You could win some serious money.
